In 2026, the Catholic Easter season will shine on Easter Sunday, April 5, celebrating Christ’s resurrection. Eastertide, the 50 days, will run from Easter Sunday through Pentecost on May 24. Holy Week kicks off on Palm Sunday, March 29, and leads to the Triduum (April 2–4) and the Easter Vigil. Here are the main dates for the 2026 Catholic Easter Season: Ash Wednesday (Lent Begins): February 18, 2026 Palm Sunday (Holy Week Begins): March 29, 2026 Holy Thursday: April 2, 2026 Good Friday: April 3, 2026 Holy Saturday/Easter Vigil: April 4, 2026 (after 8:09 p.m. ET) Easter Sunday: April 5, 2026

On this happy Easter Sunday, we’d love for Christian families to bring their little ones for the Sacrament of Baptism. As we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, we’re also filled with joy for the new life that water and the Holy Spirit bring. Baptism on Easter is a wonderful way to connect our children with Christ, the Risen Lord, and to welcome them into the family of God. We kindly ask parents and guardians to sign up in advance with the Parish Office and make sure that godparents meet the Catholic Church’s requirements. “We were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too might walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4
